This toolkit is designed to foster a culture of innovation and responsible AI use and literacy within faith-based education and ministry. Research shows that using relatable narratives and accessible resources can reduce resistance and encourage communities to embrace new technologies with openness and confidence (Murrar & Brauer, 2019).
The Lausanne Movement (2024) indicates to us that digital discipleship requires intentional equipping—providing Christian leaders with the right tools to strengthen faith and expand ministry outreach. Through this platform, I aim to help teachers and pastors:
Enhance their technological skills
Reduce burnout
Improve engagement
Foster spiritual growth in their communities
Together, we can embrace technology as a means of discipleship, education, and Kingdom impact.
Teachers and pastors face heavy workloads—lesson planning, assessments, administrative tasks, and ministry responsibilities—that can often lead to burnout. In today’s digital and AI-driven world, there’s a growing need for educators and ministers to become AI literate and confident in using innovative tools that make their work easier, faster, and more effective.
This toolkit, Connected Disciples: Leveraging EdTech for Spiritual Growth, blends ministry and education. It is designed to share practical tools and strategies with teachers and pastors through professional development sessions, ministerial meetings, and easy online access.
This platform serves pastors and Adventist Christian teachers seeking digital resources to strengthen both education and discipleship.
Pastors can access tools for research, sermon preparation, parishioner care, and digital evangelism.
Teachers will find support for differentiated learning, AI literacy, assessment tools, critical thinking, personalized tutoring, and more.
I am France Chambers and as a pastor, educator, husband, and father, I embrace God’s calling as the driving force behind my desire to expand my talents and skill sets, increasing my usefulness for His cause. With over 17 years of service as a pastor—serving as a district leader, conference director, and teacher—I have dedicated my life to ministry, education, and family. My academic journey reflects this same commitment: I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion, a Master’s in Pastoral Theology (MAPTh), and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s in Instructional Design and Technology (MIDT) at Walden University.
My passion for teaching and learning innovation has been strengthened through classroom experience, theological reflection, and creative media work in graphic design, video editing, and desktop publishing. These skills now converge in my practice of instructional design—blending faith, education, and technology to meet the evolving needs of my community. This EdTech Toolkit represents that intersection: a space designed to empower others, inspire growth, and provide meaningful, engaging, and practical learning resources for both ministry and professional development.
“In the highest sense the work of education and the work of redemption are one, for in education, as in redemption, ‘other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.’”
Ellen G. White
